The temperature gauge on the lid displays both Celsius and Fahrenheit temperatures, making it easy to monitor the temperature during distillation.
- Cooling with water pump: The cooling barrel features an open cooling system with corrugated stainless steel coils, ensuring durability and effective vapor condensation. Combined with a water pump, this facilitates cooling water circulation, improves efficiency, and conserves cooling water. It is recommended to place cold water and plenty of ice in a large bucket for faster cooling and to avoid frequent water changes.
- Secure sealing: A leak-proof silicone stopper is fitted to the corrugated pipe connections to prevent steam from escaping and thus reduce the risk of burns and other injuries. Use a wrench during assembly to tighten the connections securely. This distillation set includes a fermentation vessel and a cooling pot, both made of food-grade stainless steel, ensuring safe contact throughout the entire brewing and distillation process and allowing the final product to be consumed without hesitation.
Outlet valves and temperature gauges help you stabilize and control the distillation process. After fermentation, this barrel can be used directly for heating. Tip: Alcohol evaporates at around 78°C, while water in fermented products evaporates at 100°C.
Save water! The stainless steel condenser tubes are long and ensure high distillation efficiency. In combination with a water pump, they facilitate condensate circulation, eliminating the need for frequent water changes.
This still features reinforced sealing at all closed interfaces and barrel lids, reducing steam loss and preventing leaks.
