Had this for 1 year now, has run great, outside shows some signs of rusting which will need touching up but it is in a pool enviroment in Florida. Operationally works great. Worth the price.

I purchased this for a 1,000 Gallon above ground pool that I had on my patio. My patio is covered so it's always in the shade. Even in high 90* days for days on end the water was still in the mid to low 70's which was too cold for my young kids to really enjoy. I plumbed this in along with a pump that was way oversized for the pool and it worked great. I even turned it up to 100* on days when I wanted a hot tub haha. But typically we'd keep the pool in the mid 80's range. Even on a 1,000 gallon pool it increased our power bill by over $100/month. Which I was anticipating. This is going to be true for pool heaters, especially 120v heaters. But it was a price I was willing to pay because wiring in 220v to my patio was not something I wanted to deal with. Overall it worked great. I was very impressed with the build quality on everything. Next year I'll work on getting both the pump and the heater on timers to see if I can cut costs a bit by controlling when it's heating.

Outstanding, raised our 18' round 52" deep above ground pool from 63' to 88' in 36 hours. Not bad for Indianapolis temps. Definitely wished it was Wi-Fi controlled, but for the price its not even an issue. You just set it and forget it. Super easy to install, took me about 3 hours not including the concrete pad. Definitely recommended!

The Vevor Pool Heat Pump was delivered on-time, was safely packaged. The instructions are decent, with only minor grammatical errors, but it was descriptive enough for me to be able to set the time, the temperature and the heating schedule with very little issue. The heater raises the pool from 0.5 degrees to 1.0 degrees Fahrenheit per hour, depending on the outside temperature (when in the 60's its about 0.5deg per hour and when it's over 80, it's closer to 1.0deg per hour). I have the pool pump/filter set on a 12 hour timer and I have the timer built-in to the heater set to come on 15 minutes after the pump and set to turn off 15 minutes before the pump and it's worked perfectly for weeks now. We're definitely happy.

I got this three weeks ago and I am so happy with it so far. It was super easy to install, plug it in and attach two pvc pipes to connect unit to pool equipment. Works pretty quickly but needs heat in the air to work good. My pool started out at 74/75 when installed, but within a couple hours, even though it was cloudy out, it still went up to 82/83 and maintained it pretty good. When the sun was out and hot it heated up at about 1-2 degrees an hour. I had it up to 88 so far. The temp will drop a few degrees at night but generally maintains it at about 82/83. It runs when the pump is running. The best part is that it heats everything evenly, there are no hot or cold spots like when you use a pool solar cover. It is the perfect temperature now and I can sit in it all day long. I am running it through my solar panels during the day and I have not gotten my bill yet, so I don't know about the cost efficiency yet. I will do an update when I know about the cost. But so far absolutely no regrets.

So after using solar pool 🏊‍♂️ panels and a solar blanket to help heat our pool for years, and after pricing the exact solar panels to replace our worn out panels, we decided to buy a heat pump instead of replacing our worn out solar panels as the price of the solar panels have more than doubled in price!! As I’m sure, if you have been looking at buying a pool heater, you have noticed just how extremely expensive pool heaters are. Well, we came across this VEVOR heat pump heater at a fraction of the price of all the other pool heaters we looked into. At the time it only had 7 reviews but they were all 5 stars and we have purchased from VEVOR before so we decided to give this heat pump a try. If you have electrical experience/knowledge than this should be a rather easy install for you, if you don’t have electrical experience, I highly advise that you have a professional install it for you. We actually had to run 220 out to our pool, thankfully my husband does have electrical experience and we were able to install this ourselves rather easily. The control panel has icons on it that are not addressed in the user manual, like a fan icon, a shower head🚿 looking icon, a steam looking icon and a WiFi icon. After contacting VEVOR about these icons they stated the interface design of this wired controller is universal and some of the icons are reserved for other models and that the icons for this heater are addressed in the manual. So just know that all the icons on the control panel will not be utilized/used for these heaters including the WiFi icon as these heaters do not have WiFi capabilities. If you do not hook your pool pump up to the heater then you will get an E03 error on your heat pump when your pool pump shuts off. This error is a “water flow protection” error and VEVOR stated this is an acceptable error and it will restore/clear itself when the pump comes back on. So don’t freak out and think you did something wrong or think that you have to go manually shut off the heater before your pool pump shuts off and then go and manually turn on heater after pool pump is started. VEVOR stated that if you hook up your pool pump directly to the heater “the start and stop of the water pump will be controlled by the heat pump.” I’m not sure if that is meant to say “the heat pump will be controlled by the pool pump” instead of the other way around or not. Our pool pump is connected to a smart timer that we control via phone app. Anyway, our pool is a 15x30 oval above ground and We live in Indiana. The temperature is for ever changing right now, it could be in the 50’s one day and in the 80’s the next! This heater raised our pool water from 64 to 84 in about 48 hours and we did not have our solar cover on the pool yet, we were still topping off the pool with water. Bought this heater to upgrade from my older Aqua Pro 800, 21ft semi inground pool. I was a little skeptical going from an 83000 btu to a 51000 btu heater. But I have to say this heater is quicker and runs less to achieve the same temps. Quick and easy installation. We live in Ohio and less than 48hrs water went from 58 to 88 in 50-60 degree weather and non stop rain. So far no trouble maintaining temps either. Wish it was WiFi capable but can’t have everything at such a great price point.
