Bought this for my semi works great but you have to be mechanically inclined and I wished it came charged

First time attempting to install a mini split. Thought lines were precharged but I misread. Purchased the vacuum pump and gauge kit from harbor, along with rivet kit for install, and I am very happy. The unit starts up no issues, has a screen that shows real time 12v voltage, and most importantly its cold on eco and max mode. Fan is better than my $80 orange circle fan. Praying for lasting use.

The air conditioner arrived empty, without freon.

Product not cooling enough

Says its precharged but now have to spend more on a AC vaccum but the instructions dont even say how to vaccum it and doesnt say how to release the refrigerant from the machine so am in the dark now and just have another fan blowing air. Dang Vevor come on update those instructions correctly!

This unit does not did not come high and low side quick connect to do complete vacuum

Instructions are pretty much non existent. Unit did come precharged with r134a. Once you connect the hoses you need to vacuum the low pressure side to get the air out but there's no low pressure fitting so you need to buy a retro kit to vacuum the lines out. Once they're vacuumed you then take the end caps off and back the Allen head all the way out and that releases the freon. Unit does blow cold air however it's not enough to cool a freightliner cascadia sleeper cab and nowhere near 10k btu. I also noticed it draws the batteries down fairly quick and the wiring does get pretty warm. I think it should definitely have 4 awg rather than the minimum 6 awg. After installing and seeing the way it performs I don't think i would recommend to a friend.
