I originally bought one of these boxes for my motorcycle and was already very impressed with the quality, construction and overall design. Unfortunately, I got to find out just how strong it really is in circumstances I never expected. My partner and I were involved in a rear-end collision while riding two-up. A fully loaded fuel tanker hit us from behind, and the impact was strong enough to cause significant damage to the motorcycle and its rear section. The top box took a large part of the impact and was damaged in the process, but it remained securely attached and did its job far better than I ever could have expected. In my opinion, it genuinely helped protect us from an even worse outcome. After the crash, I had absolutely no hesitation about buying the same box again from the same company. That says more about the product than any advertising ever could. The replacement arrived and, once again, the quality is excellent. The construction feels extremely solid, the aluminium body is well made, the hinges and locking mechanism are substantial, and the internal lining and straps are very practical. It also has plenty of room for longer trips and is particularly useful when travelling two-up. I have used this type of box extensively for everyday riding, longer journeys and mountain trips, and it has always felt secure and dependable. The fact that I have deliberately replaced the damaged one with exactly the same model after a serious accident is probably the strongest recommendation I can give. The box isn't just something that looks good on the back of a motorcycle. It is genuinely tough, practical and built to handle real-world use. Excellent product, excellent build quality and, most importantly, it proved its worth when it really mattered. 5 stars without hesitation.
