We road trip quite often, and that means we need a cooler and are always searching for ice, and dumping water.
The solution to wet ziplocks and barely frozen everything at 32° is an electric cooler.
We can run it directly from the car’s 12v port or use our solar rechargeable 1kW Bluetti. The cooler runs for 100 hours on the battery and stays under 20° for 1 hour without power, at room temperature. In the car, summer heat, we keep it powered.
Draw is 40w in cooldown and 27-30w once at target (10°) temperature.
You can find larger ones, with internal battery, for 3x the price, but we already own a Bluetti 1kW so we’re happy with this price point.
