Joe Hovel Poor/wrong collet quality
The motor part is terrific! Soft start and variable speed is great.
The collets - terrible.
It comes with a badly finished single slot 8mm short collet that's very difficult to get to run true (design issue). "Fitted" in the spindle was an ER11 6mm collet. It doesn't fit: wrong taper, wrong length, wrong collet nut. What were you thinking?
The package also came with a nicely presented set of router cutters - with 1/4" (6.35mm) shanks. They obviously don't fit into the 6mm collet supplied.
Vevor is normally fussy with quality of their sources. This time they slipped up badly!
I haven't decided what to do yet. Maybe they'll source some collets that actually fit for me?
Does anyone know if Makita collets fit? So I can buy some that run true?
