Wasted 2 hours on installing this thing. Definitely need to make installation user friendly. Very outdated approach to the mechanics, it’s 2025.

Installation is not easy because of the flat bar for actuating the lock. The instructions are sorely lacking in this regard. One end of the bar has two "dimples" which must go into the combination side of the lock. There are 2 different lengths provide. I found that neither one worked for a 3.5" install and the longer one had to be cut. I cut it too short and did not have a working one because I inserted it the wrong way around. I ordered a replacement unit rather than try to get the part from tech support. Good thing I did too because the original one would not stay open fully, but "rebounded" about .5 inch not allowing the gate to close fully. However once I replaced the combo side3 of the lock with the new unit, it worked. I also rebuild my gate with 2x6s laid with the 1.5" side to mount the lock so that was room for the mechanism without having to add a block.

My husband has dementia and wanders so I needed a way to lock the door from the inside that had a code, not a key. This lock worked well at first, although the placement of the handle makes it difficult to put in the code and open. It is vertical, in front of the key pad making it difficult to use. It worked well for about a month. One night I went to open it and one of the keys was jammed and I could not unlock it. I tried everything I could but finally had to remove the lock completely, which left a hole in the door. I spend the next 3 hours trying to install another lock. I don't usually give bad reviews. I grew up with the "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" motto, but I think a lock than fails is dangerous. I thought a mechanical lock would be safer than electronic, but not this time. Sorry to be so negative.

Broke after one week use

I haven't received this item they say it was delivered but we haven't seen it here

This lock broke within a few months. The challenge then became how to remove it. This can only be done from the inside. I had the lock on a door that is at a height with no other access. I had to climb across a very narrow ledge to break into a window. Not a great design, and quite cheaply made.

The lock is SILVER color. The plate supplied on which it is mounted on the door is BLACK. When installed it looks very ugly. The buyer at VEVOR should be cognizant of this and make sure the manufacturer supplies a matching color plate. I took photos and wanted to upload these but that does not seem to work also. OVERALL - a not very happy experience

The lock was damaged, so I'm going to return it

Simple enough to set, fiddly to install on north american door holes as hole & screw placement is different so it wiggles. Biggest flaw is that the passage lock is not reliable. It unlocks, but then locks again. A person could get locked IN if they don’t know the code… I asked for a refund and will replace it. The refund took multiple requests. I Really wanted it to be good!

This door lock has problem with solid studs. The screws provided are not suit for 35mm thickness door. I try to fix this problem with this company , but it takes really time and doesn't work.
