Great plug and play replacement for the older style steering pump, very responsive, easy to install, threaded ends a perfect fit for install to the existing lines! Would buy again

Build quality seems good and turns my two engines smoothly. I had to build a new mounting plate out of starboard since the steering helm is smaller than the seastar unit that was removed.

I was originally very skeptical of this unit in that it's price point. It was far below with that of competitive models. I have had this unit installed on my boat now for over a year.And it is performed flawlessly.

nice helm, easy install. Works perfectly. Is an addon second station which requires one vented cap and one non vented cap to allow proper bleeding. Unit cap seems to be invented but I changed and it bled normally. Am not using vevor hoses but Parker 5/16 id with crimped fittings. A helm pump is fairly simple and very durable so I have no failure concerns which non compliant hoses may have presented

I works but it takes a long time to bleed compared to seastar. And it has 7.1 turns stop to stop. The other guys are 4.7, 4.9 . Doesn't seem like alot till you're trying to dock your boat.

Gekocht ter vervanging van mijn bestaande hydraulisch systeem. Documentatie op de website is heel elementair en onduidelijk. Bij aankomst de support gecontacteerd van VEVO.nl maar het voelt aan alsof zij niet vertrouwd zijn met het Europees herroepingsrecht. Verpakking werd niet beschadigd, toestel werd niet gemonteerd. Wordt dus vervolgd.

I ordered what was supposed to be the 300 HP 1.7 hydraulic steering helm for the Seastar steering system. I installed the helm only to find that after removing the plastic protective cover on the shaft, that the threads were damaged. The web site says that damaged items will be replaced. Contacted Vevor and was told to have it repaired and recieve a $42 refund. I needed it right away so I had it repaired. Cost me $50 at the machine shop. Reinstalled the helm and bled the system of air. This is when I noticed that the helm took 7 turns to go from end to end. The 300 HP 1.7 helm is advertised as 4.9 turns from end to end. Having to turn the wheel 7 full turns end to end does not make docking the boat easy. Researched the reason for the excessive amout of turns and found they had sent me the 1.4 helm in a 1.7 box. The helm they sent was designed for the 150 HP 1.4 Baystar system. Contacted Vevor and was told I would be recieving a replacement helm in 10 to 15 days. Waited 20 days and contacted them only to get a response that the accessory package I ordered was lost in the mail and that they would refund $20 so I could buy the parts locally. I have no idea what they were talking about. Contacted them again to let them know I was waiting for a replacement helm, NOT an accessory package. Their response was, we will refund $42. Contacted again to say I was waiting for a replacement helm because they sent the wrong helm. Their response was, we will refund $127. At this point I had been without my boat for a month and a half and was fed up with Vevor, so I agreed to settle and get a helm somewhere else. I paid $210 for a helm that is not the correct helm for the 1.7 Seastar system. I was refunded $42 plus $127 for a total of $169 minus the $50 for the repair, leaving me out $91 for a helm I cannot use on the steering system in my boat. If you order a hydraulic steering helm from them, verify they sent the correct helm before you install.
