Buy a fridge/freezer like this, I don_ think u will be disappointed, as you will likely be with a cheap cool box, which is why I_ posting this reviewI find this 12v24v230v fridge works on all power options, cools to 0 degrees in 35 mins, turns on and off as required to keep set temp, it needs constant power to stay cold although unplug for half an hour and it will be ok with the food and drinks etcI find it is almost silent and perfect even for a light sleeper to sleep with it running a few inches from your head, the display can be a bit bright when it_ dark but a tea towel over the display sorts out the light, it also has an led light built in which is useful which cannot be turned offAt 22 litres is a bit small for all week and insulation not the best, but cool efficiency is so good it doesn_ really matter as long as keep plugged in26 or 31 litres I think would suit me better, I leave it plugged in a truck 24 hours a day with no flat battery, the battery saver I had to adjust to the m setting instead of h. Which is adjusted by unlocking the display, press and hold the setting or gear symbol, the h will flash then press to select H,M or LIt will keep fridge stuff nice and cold with ambient temp of 35 degrees, I find set temp at minus 1 is nice and cold for food and drinks and will not freeze drinks even if there_ a bit of ice in themit will keep frozen stuff too with minus 20 and froze solid a small bottle of water in under 2 hours as I wanted to have a nice cold drink of water set at minus 20 So keeping ice cream in it won_ be a problemFor _250 it_ reasonable value for moneyMy only real dislikes is the cigarette lighter plug which I plan on changing as I find it does not stay plugged in while in my multi way socket in car, direct in to car is fine, and the lid only closes shut with no catch to lock it shut I think it_ held shut with magnetsThe ice cube tray could be useful but I don_ like the ice cube trayU can keep chilled or frozen in this fridge/freezerI may look to get a slightly larger fridge in the future 31 litres but that will cost a lot more money only due to size and not the tempI find the unit size is really good, either sit on floor or on a seat no problem, I hope you can see pictures posted, delivery arrived a day early from Germany, I would buy another one without question, and recommend to family and friends

Workd well and gets cold quickly not noisey even when it's quiet in the cab and not realy evident at night. I would say it a perfect bit of kit.

On first impressions, it doesnt look like it will hold much. It holds plenty.Instructions were ...um 'challenging' I couldn't find the right instructions relevant to my model but seems the same for most models, so can kind of make some sense of it.Luckily it's pretty simple to use.Not as quiet as I'd hoped for but it's reasonable.It gets very cold, very quickly and will freeze everything if you turn it right down to lowest settings.I've been running it for 3 weeks now set on 8 and it's all good.I bought a separate, digital thermometer to check the temp settings, as I'd heard the fridge readings could be inaccurate.Mostly it's within 1 accurate to the digital one, so that's fine for me.Looks well made and pretty sturdy.It looks like this fridge is named differently by several suppliers and prices vary, so check around.It's a lot cheaper than the big name brands (around _230) and apparently this model (35L) has an LG compressor (the larger ones don't) which I was told is a good thing.So far, so good.

This is a first impression. I_l update it after a year.I bought this to replace the smallest dometic brand. That lasted three years before the temp control stopped working and I wasn_ able to fix.This unit is lighter. It has a MUCH better cord plug, which is at an angle so it_ flush with the side when you place the unit against a wall or other boxy items. The plug of the dometic stuck out straight and was in danger of getting damaged or bent.This unit has electronic Temp control which is nice. That_ on the top. Yay. Not on the side near the bottom where it_ likely to be hard to see if the unit is among other items and gear. This unit has a mini ice tray which is so cute and actually works, but only enough for two beverages. Had they added an ice storage area, to store cubes while you made more, that would have been great. But hey. Any ice on a hot day far away from civilization is wonderful and I_l give the engineer who did the design work a nice cold kiss.The structure seems good, but not as solid as the dometic. I sit on this unit carefully but had not a worry at all with the dometic which I treated as another seat, it was so solid. Note the dometic is much heavier, and some of that weight was probably in the structure. The dometic had a lid latch. This unit does not. I_ ambivalent.Power consumption is small, on par with the dometic. I have mine set to low. It has some other settings regarding how far you want toallow it draw down your battery. The controls are modestly easy to learn, and easy to work. It has a lock out to prevent accidental button activation. The control panel light stays on. It_ either annoying or a nice nightlight, depending. I put a pillow on top of mine for a bit of extra insulation, and now my aging Pom has taken up residence there.Two weeks after purchase I_ very happy. I would like to get 10 years use from this item. Is that an unreasonable expectation for the purchase price I don_ feel it is. Most of the details that would allow that are very cheap. It_ the engineering that is really important. There are a lot of thoughtful features on this unit, so I hope there are more, even where they can_ be seen.
