I had the 24ft version of this and it has been really good for cutting branches 5m off the ground. I've cut 20cm diameter branches with it safely.Yes, it bends and flexes a lot at full extension - but that is way, way up and importantly *away* from the drop zone of any branches coming down with you on the ground able to run away.I've modified mine replacing the lower sections with old washing pole tubing after it got entangled in a falling branch and could no longer bend the top section back straight a 3rd time. I've spent literally days using it and the blade is sharp.There is a 'knack' to getting the best out of the shaped blade that isn't explained in the manual (there isn't one) - that I can't tell you because....AMZN policies and they rejected a previous review because it was too like a tutorial - and that isn't what customers want, apparently. But you'll eventually work out the two 'hook blades' are really useful for keeping the blade from sliding out of the saw cut.One 'feature' is that the blade cuts straight down - your ability to change the angle is basically zero with this design; you'll need to work around this. As I said: no tutorials allowed, so you are on your own with the selection as to where you start the cut on a branch.

A great bit of kit did exactly what need to do with such a good length. A bit wobbly as the longer the poles got thou but understandable .

Perfect light saw - razor sharp blade - so easy to use - I have the longer one too. I would like a handsaw version of it and replacement saw blades. I use it every week and it cuts through most branches super quick!

This is an excellent piece of kit. Robust and sturdy. When fully extended it is quite hard to manoeuvre round a 30 ft fir tree, but that you would expect? Easier with deciduous trees I imagine.3 tips If fully erected, you'll need extra ropeStand under where you are cutting otherwise the pole swings about, and of course wear head protection.If it works loose, sink the blade into a branch without cutting through, then rotate the pole clockwise. All of the sections will then tighten.

Perfect for pruning higher branches. Annual saving of c.£200 in tree surgeon fees. Very happy with my purchase

Great for vertical use, tried trimming horizontally on the top of awide hedge but could only manage 2m, light weight saw could be thicker but really sharp and in vertical use fine, shear blade great for smaller branches.

Great tool, easy to assemble for different heights needed. Works fine cutting smaller branches. Used up to 20mm no problem. The puller wheels for the string are good but the string can become tangled if not managed. Otherwise really happy.
