A surprise hit!

I’ve now been working on this machine for several weeks. Probably made about 20 pieces on it. Small bowls, small plates, paper towel holders, Christmas ornaments. Works great with my HSS carving tools. The motor controller isn’t super precise, but it’s definitely more than good enough for hobby level to semi-pro. It’s quiet and runs smoothly. The factory belt tension needed a reset after the first few pieces, but it was super easy to adjust. All in all I’m very happy with this purchase.

I bought this lathe about a month ago. It works very well for smaller diameter projects. Less than 6 in. Larger diameter projects tend to stall the lathe. The chuck works very well and so do the tools I ordered with the lathe. I mainly use the carbide tools.

Ich habe mir diese Maschine als Anfänger gekauft und bin zufrieden. Ich würde sie wieder kaufen und empfehle auch das Drehbankfutter. Es macht dass Ein- und Ausspannen der Werkstücke wesentlich einfacher.

Lathe Wired Wrong!

james cambern My lathe arrived and I am mostly happy with it. However, the Forward/ Reverse switch is wired wrong. In reverse the lathe spins counter clockwise. The correct rotation for this is clockwise. A lathe should generally not spin clockwise when viewed from the tailstock (looking toward the headstock). The standard, safe rotation is counter-clockwise, which causes the workpiece to spin toward the operator and down into the tool rest. Clockwise rotation is considered reverse and is rarely used.

Autre chose, le moteur annoncé à 750 W ne fait que 550 W : PUBLICITE MENSONGERE !!! Merci de réaliser un geste commercial et de me donner des solutions pour descendre la vitesse à 20 tr/mn.
