With new code requirements for anchoring of posts that are not continuous from the ground up, these post anchors fit the bill and look great. All the ones I have were formed properly, with no odd angles or rhomboid post pockets to deal with. I installed blocking under each place receiving a post on the new deck layout, and used Simpson construction anchor screws for the post/frame connection. They are rock-solid.

I used them to build a mezzanine in my shop and they work great, super cheap price and they are very rigid. However the bottom screw holes for the wood are too low. If you are using them on concrete them the anchors can get in the way when you try to tighten them.
