I use Vevor for two applications.
One was used over unimproved land as undergarment for a drive to my barn. It was laid and covered with crushed stone. It letsrainwater through as I have neither puddling more weeds.
The second is to cover a fenced garden between seasons. Again, it lets rain water through while keeping the ground clear of weeds.it is proving durable in direct sunlight while remaining flexible for easy storage during the growing season. We can plant without having to weed first.

When installing this product, rather than cut it to fit the border and have the ends fray, I cut it using a handheld torch which cuts it and melts the plastic ends to prevent fraying. This product works great under my rocks. It allows sufficient drainage.
