We bought this on October 4th, we are a small business that makes bacon the old fashioned method and use this slicer for slicing the bacon. I love this slicer however there was a piece missing from the box called the plastic baffle which is not a problem I still use the slicer. I reported it to the company and they triytheir best to get that piece to me.

Gekauft zum Schneiden von Brot und Wurst. Frisches Brot lässt sich nur schwer damit schneiden. Auch harte Wurst und Speck schneidet die Maschine mühelos.
Einziges Manko: Zwischen Schlitten und Messer ist viel Platz, da wird einiges vom Schnittgut nach unten gezogen und abgerissen, das sieht dann nicht mehr schön aus.
Ob das auch bei anderen Aufschnittmaschinen so ist kann ich nicht beurteilen.

Was going to go with the cheaper model but for under $200 more and the extra cutting power I decided to go with this model, the unit performs extremely well ans very consistent. I make my own cured and smoked meats at home and cutting them with a knife is tedious, I was able to do all my slicing in a fraction of the time with this machine, The only tip i will give with slicing on the slicer it to make sure meati semi frozen for better precision and less cleaning after slicing especially when slicing home made bacon.
