Switched from store cut meat to buying half hogs and cows. Whole lambs also. Saving serious $ by doing like mom and dad on the farm. Damn glad I learned young on it. This saw does everything I need it to a a FRACTION of a full size commercial saw.

Very happy with this machine so far. i bought it specifically for cutting frozen fish once we got it home from the coast, since the DFO requires it to be transported in slabs larger than my family will eat in one go. Overall an easy 5/5 for what I need it for and considering it will only be used a few times a year, it's not a big deal, but the welds inside the blade housing could be built up a bit more, making the recessed areas alittle shallower for reaching into the crevasses and cleaning.

Buy it, definitely worth the cost for it. I was able to cut down 500 lbs of frozen pork meat and bone with ease for a Hmong hu plig khi tes (soul calling and hand tying) event. No more jagged bone edges from using a larger cleaver, or missing the same spot. With this you can see from the video, there are precise cutting. It's so amazing that my Dag Laug, uncle from mom's side, asked if he could borrow it for their daughters wedding too. If the O.G.'s want to use it, then you know it's very good, IYKYK. Cleaning is very simple too, and the manual doesn't explain it. I would recommend taking a photo of the top knob so you remember how to place the parts in order, which is not very difficult. Simply open the case, loosen the top knob and you will see the top gear holding the bandsaw start to lower. Doing this will release tension from the bandsaw and it will fall out, so he careful not to grab it with your bare hands. I just wore an all purpose cotton glove to protect my hands from the bandsaw for extra care. First I sprayed down all the parts with a hose, then use a thin sponge to get to the right spaces, and rinsed it again. Then I blow dry the entire unit using a leaf blower and used a small towel to get to the tight spaces. After that it was nice and clean, ready to be used again.
