Mary A huge disappointment--buy something else
Dwufunkcyjna leżanka W kształcie litery H
I was able to put this together by myself, hence the 1 star. Otherwise, it would be zero stars.
Looks sturdy, but since the frame gives when you sit on the edge, I don't trust it to support 400 lbs. Metal slats may sound great, but when only 3 slats on the top frame are 3/4" wide, and the rest are 3/8" wide and all the slats are 5 1/4" apart, they are no good for supporting a typical daybed mattress--which is 6" to 8 " thick-- without sagging. The same problem exists with the slats on the trundle. A memory foam or other foam mattress sags between the slats. If your foam mattress is hard enough, you might not feel the metal slats; otherwise you will.
Really disappointed in this purchase.
