Just purchased for my son in law. He has diabetes so his eyesight and dexterity are slightly compromised. Having a clamp for the base piece, alligator clips for the piece to be glued, and a magnifying glass with light allows him to build his model with confidence.

Bought a smaller version somewhere, thought it would be fine. The day after I got it I saw the ad for this one. Light years ahead of the other one. The steel plate is very heavy and adds a lot of stability. I would highly recommend this.

I bought the magnetic helping hands with lighted magnifier for my son, who was born with one arm. His hobby is playing RPGs and he builds and paints miniatures to go with the games. He tells me that the moveable grippers are handy to hold odd shaped items, and the magnifier helps him achieve the fine details.
He is quite happy with it.
