I bought this for several broken upper tree branches. I was able to cut several cuts using all the extensions. Once all the sections are assembled this thing is difficult to maneuver and control. The fiberglass sections flexed a lot, so you have to coordinate your sawing strokes to match the flexing. If you get too aggressive the blade will jump out of the cut due to the bouncing of the pole. I didn't have any quality problems, so my experience seemed to point to good quality, but more usage could uncover other problems. The only thing I would have preferred would have a more aggressive blade to cut the branch faster. The spare blade is identical to the original blade. It would have been nice to have one small tooth saw and a large tooth blade as well.

This is a solid very long pruner unfortunately not telescopic . While a solid peace of kit it becomes week at higher settings so must be gentle. While relatively easy to screw together l would try to use at longest settings only. Other telescopic pruners can do that job better. However this is would be great if you have a few extra large trees in your garden and that is all it's used for. You could pay £20-40 each for pruning saws each(without poles or extensions) so offers great value. Shame it doesn't have any options for a lopper.

Good quality saw with spare blade and long reach but, it is heavier than expected as the poles are not fibreglass as advertised, they are metal (aluminium?) and so, for higher level pruning, it is uncomfortable to use for an extended period unless you have good upper body strength.

Like the product only my trimmer broke off after it's 4th use

Amazing saw, managed to prune back a 40ft tall Ash Tree and some thick Oak Tree branches in a matter of hours. The saw is sharp and cuts through pretty much anything and being able to use it as a hand saw as well is a bonus. You do require upper body strength and if you don't have it, you will be sore for the best part of a week due to the weight. My only grind is the blade though tough, it can easily bounce out of the grove making it tricky to slot back in or it gets pinch when the branch starts to fall. I've recommended this to family and friends, who are already eyeing it up.

La mention du poids total de l'ensemble à manoeuvrer, monté sur les 8,24 m, doit absolument être indiqué à l'achat car il est finalement très lourd et difficile à utiliser longtemps. Sous réserve d'un usage plus intensif, il semble solide et les fixations entre les éléments de la perche (poteaux) paraissent fiables, excepté pour la poignée d'extrémité basse (voir 3) ci-dessous). Bon courage. Cependant, il y a possibilité de l'améliorer simplement: - 1/ mettre une notice en français - 2/ indiquer sur cette notice la tension maximale possiblement applicable sur la corde du coupe-branches afin d'éviter de plier celui-ci - 3/ fixer solidement la poignée souple d'extrémité basse du 1er élément de la perche: elle tourne et se déboite beaucoup trop facilement. Impossible de s'y fier. - 4/ identifier le 1er et le dernier poteau (par une couleur, ou une marque facilement repérable, parmi les autres éléments intermédiaires de la perche. - 5/ le changement de la longueur n'est pas pratique : pour la réduire ou l'augmenter, il faut dévisser et revisser 3 fois. N'y aurait-il pas moyen de le gérer simplement avec 1 seul vissage ou dévissage par l'extrémité avec une poignée amovible ?

We only have one tree that needs trimming on one side only, so we don't need to use this trimmer often. But it's fine for the price. If we had more trees or was using this every day, I might be more concerned about the quality of the mechanisms. It doesn't look like they will stand up to heavy use.
