Shipped well and rapidly to my door and just in time for my lesson. I re-seasoned it just for peace of mind and for the experience with a little flaxseed oil @ 450oF and it turned out beautifully, putting it together was a snap. I use 2 pieces of waxed paper to keep the dough from sticking to the press and make sure my iron is hot. 40-40-45 seconds is my rule of thumb for turning tortillas and remember to press firmly around to get that rise. I'm now head tortilla maker in our house, and mighty proud to say it!

This press works very well on corn tortillas. On flour tortillas, it does press them out, but because it's not a heated press, they spring back. This is not a fault of the press at all. Price and features are on point.

It's a 12 in press but it makes 8 inch tortillas. Can't really get them as thin as I want either. Does beat doing it manually.
