Finally got a chance to use this a couple of weeks ago. Works as advertised. Chewed through clay soil like butter. It struggled with the hard pack, but honestly, nothing I've tried works well in the hard pack we have (think concrete's cousin). I did have some issues with the on/off switch that I'll have to resolve but to be fair I didn't read the instructions well enough and put the throttle/switch on wrong the first time and it could be that to caused the issue. I just choked it to stop the engine the one day I used it and I'm sure I can correct the issue when I have time. For the money, this can't be beat.

It does what I bought it for and it seems very well made. The price is the best part as it is cheap but works the way it should!

I just finished using this to drill 24 post holes for a fence I'm building. Drills an 18" hole in less than a minute. Very easy to start and operate. It will bust through small roots and bring up small rocks, smaller than a fist, just need to go a little slower and feather the throttle a little. No reverse so you need to lift it out of hole to clear the auger. I will be using to plant some fruit trees in the near future. This is definitely a best buy!

Bought instead of renting. It fired up on the second pull and ran flawlessly for 20 holes. Auger is cheap but works. It has straight angled blade instead of higher end teeth. Recoil broke on 5th start but Vevor has an annoying warranty process that wants pictures but not in a format any phone uses. The recoil won't retract. Why do you need a picture. Anyways, it was still worth the money.

I bought this auger because of the reviews and price. I received it very fast in the mail. I put it together, handles and spindle, in no time. I added the 2 cycle oil to the gas as directed and it started within 3 pulls. This is going to be great for pole holes as we have very hard and rocky ground. It's going to beat using the manual pole hole digger and shovel. So far I'm very happy with this auger and do recommend it.

Bought this auger for a project to plant 25 trees. Dug the 25 holes in a little over 30 mins. We have rocky soil and as long as the rocks aren't too big this auger just throws them aside. It does a good job on small roots too! A rental for 1 day is just a little below the whole cost of this auger and we have used it many times since purchase. Starts easy runs good just get a good grip and be prepared if it hits something solid. I would recommend this if you have some holes to did.

I own a lawn care business and wanted to offer mailbox post replacement as part of my business, so I knew I would need an auger. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and this machine was the perfect price. Since purchasing I have done two post replacements and this little guy dug a 4 foot hole in a matter of seconds. It takes a bit longer get to break through hard ground but it's still a beast and a hard worker for it's size. Yes, I recommend!!

I needed to put in a new fence so was going to rent an auger from local rental place which they wanted $99 for 6 hours of renting when I found Vevor site and they had this auger for $125. I received the auger very quickly, put it together with instructions and tools provided and fired it up. It is easy to start Easy to operate and a well made product. So impressed with this incredibly affordable tool. The power on this tool is impressive. Thank you for providing great tools at even greater price.

This is a great tool, especially for the price point.It starts up easily, digs down over 2 feet without any issues. Easy to operate with one person. Convient gas/oil mixing container. The only issue I have is that the stop button doesn't always work.

I was skeptical about this auger, but it works well. Our soil is either a brick when dry and greased ice when wet (red clay). I pre drilled holes using a bulb planter but it didn’t seem to need it. It did take a LONG time to get the thing started. It would not start with the lever in the start setting, but I think the switch is backwards. Regardless, once I got it running it did a great job. For the price, it was cheaper to buy this than rent one. I wish it had a reverse, but for the price I can work without it. As others have said it CAN and WILL get away from you if you’re not careful. Take it slow and it’ll be fine.
