I bought this to be able to remove the engine of my SUV along with the subframe (BMW 2012 X5 with the V8 Twin turbo engine) and boy did this handled the task beautifully! Engine alone is about 500 pounds and I'm not sure how much the subframe with the steering rack and the bearing hubs weigh but the 1,100 pound capacity was more than plenty. Moving it around was also easy thanks to the casters that come with the unit. You have to be careful with the lowering lever as it is very sensitive and likes to go down faster than you would like to. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase (even though I probably will sell it afterwards since I won't have a need for it again). Sorry but I couldn't upload a picture as it has a 2MB size limit.

We use it for lifting and holding furniture to refinish. It has worked very well as a solid base to work from.

This item is heavy but not too cumbersome to move around. It works very well.
