the press worked as described, I am very happy with the quality and the way it performs. I have already put it into production and when the leather and cutting die are inserted on the press surface it cuts very easily. The unit is very nice, it works great! The only issue that I had the female thread on lever bar was bent over, nothing that a small file could not rectify! Stamped out a 4x4 coaster in 8 to 9 ounce veg tan leather, it worked better than I could hope for! I look forward to using this a lot .

This is a robust and very precise die cutting press. Made out of solid steel parts and both ball bearings are top quality. All metal parts are protected by special powder coatings and machine operates on very simple method. I make professional leather hand bags and leather goods. This cutting press is very useful time saving tools. It will handle even 5-6mm thick veg tan leather if you have decent steel dies. machine is very easy to set up within 30 minutes. Once you have perfect level of true paralel between top plate and the base and than just press the handle down than you have made your perfect cut. I would highly recommend this machine to beginners and professionals. Pretty solid deal for the price but with some drawbacks. Vertical travel is adjustable by working the nuts from under the base plate. The pressure is not uniform because of the enlarged plastic orange plates. Anything directly below the main black pressure plate will emboss fine but outside of that surface, the pressure is less and embossing less pronounced. You can work around this by using a separate hard metal plate added between the orange plastic and your actual embossing dye. The feet have M8 screws so that's what you need if you want to secure it to the work table. Which you should do, because it tends to tip over when pressing. La prise en main globale est très facile, la presse est facile d'utilisation. Seul bémol que j'ai rencontré avec mes emporte-pièce : la plaque du dessous en plastique est un peu trop rigide, il faut donc rajouter une matière plus souple en dessous pour que l'emporte pièce coupe bien à travers la matière choisie.
