Instructions are a bit confusing, the No. 10-15 anti-wear hydraulic oil did not come up when I Binged it. Tractor supply suggested 32 aw anti-wear hydraulic oil charging hoses don't match any standard bottles. After fighting with these issues I think this will be great.

This product was a lot easier to install than I anticipated. The hardest part was fishing the Hydraulic hoses to the back of the boat from the console. After that, it was pretty much a piece of cake. I have a 1999 Johnson, 200 horse outboard. And it made a world of difference in steering. It is actually enjoyable to drive this boat right now.

The steering components appear to be the same as west marine Easy installation and works great!. I would recommend buying this system

Functions as designed. Installation was straight forward prepping the console to accommodate the helm was the biggest time consumer.

I replaced the steering in my boat because it was time. The shop wanted $3500.00 to put there steering system in. Went home and got to looking and found this steering system. Got it, installed it in my Proline 230 center console with a Mercury 225 optimax in under an hour. I have used other steering systems that cost 7 times what this system cost me and they are not as smooth when turning the helm. There is no lag, no sticky feeling, it is very responsive. It has been on my boat for a year now and there are no issues or complaints. The instructions are very simple and easy to understand (if you need them). Other than the labels and the difference in feel, there is no difference in materials from the high dollar system to this one. If I need another one in the future I will come right back to VEVOR!
