Seriously, I used the term beauty talking about a vise! When I took it out of the box, I couldn_ believe how well made it was! Every face is perfectly true and there is absolutely no play whatsoever in the moving jaw put a feeler gauge in one side and close it up, the other side is exactly the same gap, with no lateral movement. The only downside is that there are no clamping slots on the side, but I_l probably end up milling a slot in either side. For the price, you won_ beat this one!

Vise needs some cleanup on the sharp edges.Vise handle is not nice chrome plated but rough cast iron. Degrades the whole experience.However I just made a new speed handle for the vise and now it soars!Works great on the Mini Mill

This is way better than it has any right to be for the price!Not a Kurt, but the jaws close well, there is essentially no play, and it even looks pretty good.

It's a fantastic vise, extremely well built, I was very impressed. I had to send mine back, though coz the weight is actually 75 pounds (34kg) vs the 33 pounds indicated in the website.

For the price of this vise, I couldn't be happier with the build quality and accuracy. As a hobbyist machinist, I don't have experience with a more expensive vise, but this one fits my needs perfectly. Smooth movement, and excellent finish.

A great vice well made an a good price

I purchased two of the 3"" vises for holding longer parts on my small mill; these were perfect since they're pretty lite, and the footprint on the 3"" is minimal. I just finished flycutting my first parts and everything came out within 0.0015"" and that's REALLY close when you consider the inaccuracies built into the mill.The coating on the base is a pretty flaky, and so far it has chipped when tightening the vises to the table; not a big deal, but nicer units have a ground surface in that spot. When I have more time I may mill it clean.I don't think I will use one of these as my primary work-holding when I'm not making long stuff, but they are an amazing value, especially when considering the Prime status.

I almost wish I had gotten swivel base but would not use for over a year.Camera invisible line when jaws closed and the play when open is due to backlash on nut that goes away on closing.The 123 block test was edge grip with 0.002"" precision shim holding one from falling and need to use force to bring in 0.001"" shim on other side of vise as per picture. Clamping pressure consistent across 6"".Bottom is well ground as well, top jaws are not detectable by finger so < 1 thou.Happy with purchase, wish rotating base was available separately.Manual is horribly translated, worst Google translate seen to date.
